1. Qualified Boilermakers – Cre8work Job Vacancy

We currently looking for x2 qualified and experienced Boilermakers to join their team.

Job Description:

Construct, assemble, maintain, and repair stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries. Align structures or plate sections to assemble boiler frame tanks or vats, following blueprints.

Assist in testing assembled vessels. Direct cleaning of boilers and boiler furnaces. Inspect and repair boiler fittings, such as safety valves, regulators, automatic-control mechanisms, water columns, and auxiliary machines.

Boilermaker Duties & Responsibilities

This job requires candidates to be able to perform duties that include the following:

  • Install premade boilers into manufacturing facilities and other buildings
  • Read and understand blueprints for the location, position, and dimension of boiler parts
  • Complete job work orders and other needed maintenance documentation
  • Organize and arrange pre-made boiler parts before assembly
  • Identify all of the necessary tools required for tasks
  • Assemble boiler tanks that often involves automatic or robotic welding
  • Use scrapers, cleaning solvents and wire brushed to clean vats
  • Inspect and perform tests on boiler systems to find any defects or leaks
  • Repair or replace parts such as valves, joints, or pipes, using welding equipment, hand tools, and gas torches

Boilermaker Skills & Competencies

  • Mechanical skills: Must use and maintain many types of equipment, such as welding machines and hoists.
  • Unafraid of heights or confined spaces: Must be able to handle working in tanks at any height, such as water storage tanks that may be several stories above the ground.
  • Physical strength and stamina: You must be able to lift heavy equipment and spend many hours on your feet.
  • Troubleshooting: The ability to correctly diagnose and then fix problems is essential.
  • Critical Thinking: You must weigh various solutions to problems and then predict which one will be most effective.
  • Reading comprehension: You must be able to understand written documentation.

2. Fabrication Foreman – Cr8work

Our client in Kya Sands requires a FABRICATION FOREMAN (Heavy Manufacturing) to coordinate the safe performance of fabrication and maintenance tasks to ensure long-term plant availability and reliability and thereby contributing to the overall equipment effectiveness.


  • Grade 12.
  • Trade tested Boilermaker.
  • Computer literate (MS Office, Email / Internet).
  • Previous experience in a similar position ESSENTIAL!
  • 5yrs+ previous experience in a fabrication manufacturing environment.

Must be familiar with the following:

  • Reading and understanding Engineering drawings on a high level
  • Fabrication process of medium to heavy components
  • Welding processes

Staff management experience.

3. MIG/ARC Welders – Cr8work

We are searching for a reliable, deadline driven MIG/ARC Welder to join our team of skilled professionals.

The MIG/ARC Welder’s responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate tools and metals, measuring and assembling metal pieces, using cutting tools, determining gas ratios, drilling holes, and monitoring inventory.

You should always be able to observe health and safety regulations and report any issues to the line manager.

To be successful as a MIG/ARC Welder, you should demonstrate excellent physical strength and dexterity, as well as superb attention to detail.

Outstanding MIG Welders can interpret written and verbal specifications and stick to deadlines even under extreme conditions.


  • Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining appropriate metals to specifications.
  • Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage.
  • Interpreting specifications and blueprints accurately.
  • Training welding apprentices and mentoring recruits.
  • Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools.
  • Operating cranes and other machinery to transport materials to welding worksites.
  • Determining correct gas ratios.
  • Testing the strength of each join during and after project completion.
  • Diagnosing issues and troubleshooting as required.
  • Liaising with the line manager or supervisor, reporting any issues, and making suggestions for improvement.

MIG Welder Requirements:

  • High school diploma or similar.
  • A completed apprenticeship or vocational training.
  • Red Seal Certification.
  • A relevant certificate from a welding association may be required.
  • Excellent stamina, strength, and dexterity.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • Sound understanding of welding safety.
  • The ability to teach would be advantageous.
  • A willingness to learn and work overtime when required.
